Soft washing a building with a downstream injector is likely the most effective method. This attachment, integrated with a pressure washer, utilizes the Venturi effect to draw soap into the water pressure hose, enabling the application of detergents under low pressure. Professional water pressure cleaners typically have this standard equipment on hand, as downstream injectors help avoid the use of cleaning solutions that could damage the pressure pump.
For soft washing with a diaphragm pump, there are three varieties available: gas-powered, air diaphragm, and 12V-powered models Carryable Soft Wash Syetem - Orange Storm . Unlike downstream injectors, diaphragm pumps can handle much higher concentrations of detergents or bleach, as they pull highly concentrated solutions directly through the pump.
Another useful tool for soft washing is the J-Rod attachment, which is a small tool featuring four welded-together nozzles with varying sizes and angles. This inexpensive multi-tool attachment offers two tips for soap cleaning and two for rinsing, making it suitable for small jobs. However, a drawback is that users must frequently remove it to switch the nozzle.
The X-Jet method is also effective, offering an adjustable spray pattern for close-range and long-range application. This device can pull chemicals at a high ratio for pressure cleaning and is relatively inexpensive and easy to use. Users can adjust the nozzle by twisting, similar to a garden hose attachment. Although the X-Jet can draw lots of chemicals into its spray, users may need to carry containers of cleaning solution due to its relatively short hose length, but it can spray over a considerable distance.
